37. AN ENGLISH VICTORIAN LIFE GUARDS DRUM, 19TH CENTURY

Origin: England, Victorian era, 19th century.

Height 22,3 cm. Diameter 32,4 cm.

Metal drum, painted in black, with depicted tape with inscription “THE LIFE GUARDS” and the emblem with crown and monogram under it and lion above the crown. Two wooden bows on the top and on the bottom, tied with cords. The top and the bottom of the drum is covered with leather. With a pair of drum sticks.

Condition report: very good condition. Paint with minor scratches. Wood with certain amount of wear, some scratches, wear off, insignificant cracks. Leather in good condition, slight wear off and scratches.
