107. A JAMBIYA DAGGER, 18TH - 19TH CENTURY

Origin: Persia, 18th - 19th century.

Blade: curved double edged blade of Damascus steel, with central ridge, with golden inlays near the hilt – floral and geometric ornaments.

Hilt: Black horn grip, narrowing in the middle, with embossed ring in the middle.

Scabbard: Iron fittings with silver inlays – floral and geometric motifs. Two iron suspension rings. Original black leather.

Condition report: blade in very good condition, gilding intact. Grip with certain amount of wear, cracks, scratches and dents. Scabbard fittings with dark brown patina, except silvered areas. Scratches and dents. Leather with certain amount of wear, with cracks, scratches.
