Made of solid tortoiseshell with engraved mother-of-pearl and brass floral and animal inlays, the lid with embossed and engraved metal mounts, front side inlaid with engraved metal depicting hunting dog and bird. Dated to early 18th century.
Condition report: in need of cleaning. Old repairs. Hinges loose. Lid with repaired crack. Minor marks and scratches.
