1. A GERMAN SAXONY M1873 ARTILLERY SABRE IN SCABBARD. WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CIE SOLINGEN, 1899.

Origin: Germany, Saxony, 1899 year.

Blade: steel slightly bent single edged blade with one wide fuller both sides. Stamped on the ricasso: WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM&Cie / SOLINGEN. On the spine: AR monogram under the crown, ciphers 99 / gothic style C or G under the crown.
Closed steel hilt with a single knucklebow from yelman to the pommel, back arm of the yelman bent down finished with a flat ball. Bakelite grip. Illegible small stamps on the backstrap and ring beneath. Cross guard stamped: “1. M.24.R.100”.
Black painted steel scabbard, single band with carrying ring and loop. Stamped: “1. M.24.R.100”, number matching the one on the hilt.
Dimensions: total length in scabbard – 93 cm, without – 89.6 cm, blade’s length – 75,4 cm, width at the hilt – 32 mm, thickness – 8 mm.
