12. AN AUSTRIAN OR FRENCH SABER WITH FOLDING GUARD, CIRCA 1800

Length in scabbard - 92 cm, without - 89,6 cm, blade - 76,3 cm.

Blade: slightly curved single edged blade, double edged near the tip, with one wide and shallow fuller.

Hilt: white metal knuckle guard, coming into the pommel, and one more knuckle bow, folding to a side. Cylindrical pommel, made in one piece with a back of the grip. Wooden grip covered with leather, with transverse cords under it.

Scabbard: leather scabbard with white metal fittings, sewing joint on reverse.

Condition report: good overall condition. The blade with slight pitting, scratches, insignificant dents. Metal of the hilt and the scabbard with wear off, scratches, patina. Leather worn off, with scratches and cracks, sewing joint open in one place.
